The lettuces are often used only to make salads, even though you can make soups, sandwiches and bundles, and even can be grilled or cooked, as was normal in ancient times. 


Depending on the variety, the lettuce is a good source of vitamin A, vitamin K and potassium, with high concentrations of vitamin A in the lettuce of a darker green color. It also provides some dietary fiber (focused on the stem and branches), carbohydrates, protein and a small amount of fat. With the exception of type iceberg, lettuce also provides vitamin C, calcium, iron and copper, with vitamins and minerals found in the leaf.
