Open doors to autonomy
At Agromart, guide dogs are welcome: one step further toward inclusion
At Agromart Balear, we firmly believe that grocery shopping should be an accessible experience for everyone. Therefore, we want to reaffirm our commitment to the mobility of people with visual impairments. In our stores, guide dogs are not just pets; they are the eyes and the autonomy of their companions.

A special visit: Joan Munar and Cayden
We have had the great honor of welcoming Joan Munar, bronze medalist at the Paris Paralympic Games, to our stores. Joan visited us accompanied by Cayden, his faithful guide dog, to help us promote this message of inclusion.
Thanks to dogs like Cayden, people with reduced visibility regain free and autonomous mobility, allowing them to fully integrate into daily life—such as choosing the best fresh produce from our island.

New signage at Agromart Balear
To facilitate this coexistence and following our social commitment, we have updated the signage in all our stores. Guide dogs are easily identified by the specific harness they wear.
This badge reminds all our customers that these animals have the right of preferential and total access to our facilities.

FAQ: Guide dog laws in Spain
Which law regulates the access of guide dogs?
Access is primarily protected by Law 4/2017 (Balearic Islands) and national regulations that guarantee that people accompanied by assistance dogs can access any commercial or catering establishment.
Which stores must allow entry?
According to Spanish law, all establishments (public or private for public use) have a legal obligation to allow access to guide dogs.
How can an official guide dog be identified?
They are identified by their harness and usually carry an official ID card or badge certifying their training.
Can a food store prohibit entry based on hygiene?
No. Accessibility law prevails. Guide dogs meet strict health standards and are trained not to interfere with food hygiene.
We are part of the same path
At Agromart Balear, we don’t just cultivate the land; we also cultivate respect and coexistence. We are proud to support people like Joan Munar and to welcome companions as loyal as Cayden. Because a better society is built like this: store by store, step by step, and with an open heart for everyone.
See you at Agromart, where everyone—with legs or paws—is always welcome.
