We are very pleased to announce that Agromart, through the Communication and Marketing department, is once again launching school visits to the cultivation farms we have in Sa Volta, Porreres.
The first students to visit us, during the month of October, were those from the Verge de Monti-sion School in Porreres.
Learning from the past and the future
We are making available for schools one of the farms where we cultivate a small part of the production that we later sell in our stores distributed throughout Mallorca.
Students can get up close and personal with the integrated production processes we carry out, the cycle of the soil, crop rotation (planting, care…), and the pilot plan we have initiated with the planting of 4,000 trees of different local varieties to preserve and keep them alive in the collective ideology.
Cultivating Values
School visits are an opportunity to get to know the origins, farming, and also serve to touch the earth with our hands. All children can help us plant some seasonal product and participate, thus, in the cultivation process.
Agromart, local store
We also offer the option of visiting one of our stores distributed throughout Mallorca.
Students can see the warehouse and cold rooms where the product rests just before being displayed in the store, and learn about all the varieties of fruits and vegetables we sell.
At the end of the visit, both at the farm and in the store, we offer fruit for a snack.
